About Tury
Tury is a professionally trained social worker who commenced her career in Hong Kong, where she practised in intensive counselling settings. In her early years of practice, she provided therapeutic support to individuals and families experiencing a wide range of complex psychosocial concerns, including mental health difficulties, substance misuse, involvement with the criminal justice system, offender rehabilitation, child protection matters, domestic and family violence, couple and family relationship issues.
Her qualifications and professional experience are recognised by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). She migrated to Australia in 2011 as a skilled social worker and has since continued to practise in both counselling and social work roles across diverse settings.
Tury provides counselling in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, enabling her to deliver culturally responsive and linguistically appropriate services. She has particular expertise in supporting clients from Cantonese- and Mandarin-speaking backgrounds.
Tury is an Approved Counsellor with NSW Victims Services and provides trauma-informed counselling to individuals impacted by crime. Tury also works with individuals and couples presenting with concerns related to sexuality and intimate relationships, offering a respectful, confidential, and non-judgemental therapeutic environment.
In addition to her clinical work, Tury prepares independent forensic assessment reports for legal purposes, including visa applications under family violence provisions and reports for criminal sentencing matters.
Additionally, Tury’s qualifications and professional experience have been recognised by several universities in New South Wales. She has held roles as a lecturer, tutor, and field education supervisor within their social work programs.
